SHOP HELPER (Sulphur, LA)
Industrial Rental Company seeking a SHOP HELPER in their Sulphur, LA shop for a possible temp to hire, long term position.
Job duties will include preparing parts and equipment for repair and refurbishment. Will utilize grinder, various sanders, and additional tools to complete the required job tasks. May be assigned additional duties or tasks by the site supervisor based on the client needs.
Must be willing to cross train where needed, work as a team, take direction, and make sure weekly schedule is met. Ensure OSHA standard work practices, Keep all work areas neat and organized, Fill out low stock notices and maintain inventory on parts and supplies for shop.
Interested candidates must have 1-2 years previous experience in the same or similar position. Previous experience with a grinder is a must.
Candidate must be creative in their work and have ability to come up with options to make repairs as needed. Candidate must be dependable, have reliable transportation, and have ability to work overtime as needed.
Diploma or GED required, Must have forklift cert OR be willing to obtain one from onsite forklift cert trainer. Valid Driver’s license is required (prefer LA License).
