Production/Manufacturing Company in the Beaumont area seeking a HSE Specialist for a possible temporary to hire position.
Job duties will include but are not limited to promoting a safe working environment throughout the facility; adhering to the requirements and guidelines of the facility as well as all applicable laws; perform HSE orientation for all new employees as well as contractors and visitors; conduct specific training courses as required; assist in process audits and initiating the CAR/PAR process as needed/required; assist in monthly safety process and initiating the OBC process when required; assist with identifying work processes and revising Risk Assessments when needed; being proactive in developing recommendations for pertinent HS&E issues; be able to perform in the work environment and complete duties as assigned as well as assist with these and other task as assigned by the HSE Manager or Coordinator. Job duties will also include providing support as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Interested candidates must have a high school diploma or GED as well as some college training. Candidate must possess a sound knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental rules, regulations, and requirements in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment as well as must also be a Certified First Responder (CPR, First Aid, AED, etc.). Effective leadership and excellent communication skills are a must as well as the ability to do extensive walking, bending, stooping, and/or moderate to heavy lifting. This position will start out as a Monday through Friday, 8a-5p or 7a- 4p position (8 hours a day/40 hours a week). Interested candidate must be available to work overtime as needed. This position will eventually include being on call from time to time.
