Local Marine Services Company seeking a nighttime Dispatcher to work within their office dispatching a work crew as needed for clients arrivals and departures along the Neches River. This is a Temp to Hire position for the right candidate. This is a position that the client is willing to train. Typical schedule of 4 nights on and 4 nights off, however training will be conducted on day shifts only.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Facilitate the communication of information between Vessel and Shore side personnel including transmission of orders, arrival and departure and/or any incidents that may require assistance.
Prepare and communicate daily position reports to the customers and to management along with any other pertinent information related to vessel activities or client specific requirements.
Assist in supporting the operations group vessel request
Communicate operational requirements or general concerns to Vessel Operations as required
Assist in the coordination of incidents and problem resolution as required
Assist in the management of incoming phone calls
Maintain Nightly shift reports and some computer duties involving reports of arrival/departure and crew dispatching.
Maintain open communication with clients(vessels, ships, barges as needed) to maintain dispatching needs as necessary.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Organized, detail-oriented and accurate.
Self-motivated and multi-task oriented
Must be able to work with little to no supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate standard office equipment, personal computer, and calculator.
Experience is not necessary however is a plus!
SCHEDULE – 4on/4off 7pm to 7am
Starting Pay – $14.50 an hour
