Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule:
- 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Training Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary
A local marine company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Daytime Dispatcher to join their team. This position is responsible for coordinating communication between vessel crews and shore-side personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely dispatching based on client needs. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, and the client is willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate communication between vessels and shore-side personnel
- Dispatch work crews based on client arrivals and departures
- Prepare and communicate daily position reports to customers and management
- Relay operational updates, requirements, and concerns as needed
- Assist in coordinating incidents and problem resolution
- Support vessel operations and scheduling requests
- Manage incoming phone calls and communications
- Maintain daily and nightly shift reports
- Perform general administrative and computer-related tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Proficient with standard office equipment and computers
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dispatching or marine-related experience is a plus, but not required
