Forklift Operator
Production Company in the Beaumont area seeking a Forklift Operator for their Material Control Department. Must have ability to operate a 36K forklift. Skills Test will be administered.
Job duties will include but are not limited to operating and maintaining forklift truck to insure a safe and efficient operation; communicate and coordinate with previous shift operator and relief driver for thorough and proper turn over; delivery of material throughout yard as directed by supervisor; maintaining a steady flow of material through the yard; maintenance of the equipment.
Employee will also be responsible for becoming familiar with lay out of yard as well as knowing and adhering to proper moving and handling procedures of Client’s products. Will also be responsible for becoming familiar with proper marking and identification of pipe as well as obtaining basic knowledge of threads and learning the proper procedures for cleaning and installing thread protectors.
Interested candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent as well as be able to stand and work in adverse conditions (outside in all types of weather or inside in a manufacturing environment) for a minimum of 8 hours. Must be able to use simple measuring instruments as well as be able to pass an Industrial Eye exam. Interested candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years previous experience operating a 36000 forklift, clamp experience preferred.
PPE REQUIRED: Steel toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses.
