Local Marine Shop in the Port Arthur area seeking a Fitter/Welder. This is a project position at this time, but could turn temp to hire for the right person.

Job duties will include reading blue prints and fitting metal components as specified by prints. Ability to read a tape measure and prints is mandatory. Must be able to stick weld and operate a cutting torch to be able to fabricate and fit components together. Basic mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude is required.

Must be able to work in a shop environment and work well as a team player. Previous experience of at least 1 year in a similar position is required. Must be dependable and have reliable transportation. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
