Maintenance Technician
A service company is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair work at multiple locations throughout the Golden Triangle area. This position requires a well-rounded maintenance professional with hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of troubleshooting maintenance issues and completing repairs efficiently with minimal supervision.
HVAC/EPA certification and a minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar maintenance role are required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform general maintenance and repair work at various service locations throughout the Golden Triangle area.
-Troubleshoot, maintain, and complete minor repairs on HVAC systems as needed.
-Perform basic plumbing repairs, including troubleshooting leaks, replacing fixtures, and completing other minor plumbing work.
-Perform basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting within the scope of the position.
-Complete minor building, equipment, and facility repairs as needed.
-Diagnose maintenance issues and determine the appropriate repair or course of action.
-Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
-Respond to service and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
-Travel between assigned locations throughout the workday as required.
-Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
-Accurately communicate completed work, needed repairs, and any additional maintenance concerns.
-Always follow company safety procedures and proper work practices.
-Participate in an on-call rotation every other week and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when required.
-Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
-Requirements: HVAC/EPA certification
REQUIRED:
-Minimum 3 years of previous experience performing similar maintenance work.
-Experience with general maintenance, HVAC, basic plumbing, electrical, and minor repairs.
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
-Ability to work independently and manage service calls at multiple locations.
-Must be dependable, punctual, and able to respond appropriately to maintenance needs.
-Valid driver’s license REQUIRED.
-Reliable transportation REQUIRED for travel between locations throughout the Golden Triangle area.
-Must be willing and able to participate in an every-other-week on-call rotation.
-Must have own basic hand and maintenance tools. Specialty tools and equipment will be provided by the company.
-Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with general maintenance and repair work.
-Schedule & Travel: Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The employee will also participate in an on-call rotation every other week and must be available to respond to service needs during the assigned on-call period.
-This position requires regular travel to service locations throughout the Golden Triangle area. Employees will use their own reliable transportation, and mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
COMPENSATION: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
