MACHINIST HELPER
Helpers needed for a Manufacturing and Production company in the Beaumont area. This is a possible temp to hire position for the right candidate!
This position will assist operators in all aspects of production including quality of produced parts; checking for any issues with parts including but not limited to surface finish, broken inserts, etc, grinding and buffing parts, and forklift operations. Will also be responsible for confirming serial numbers from production orders and assisting proper connection is machined on each joint as well as be responsible for generating non-compliance reports, corrective actions and/or preventative actions in accordance with the company’s requirements. Will be responsible for other duties as defined by Production Manager.
This position will be actively involved in the improving production performance, product quality, and safety as well as understanding the company’s principles and goals.
Interested candidates must have previous experience working with a grinder and buffer as well as have previous experience operating a forklift to load/unload, preferably pipe from pipe racks. Candidate must have a strong attention to detail, be willing and able to work in a fast pace environment to meet customer’s deadlines, and able to lift up to 25-30lbs. and be reliable/dependable and available to work overtime when needed including nights and weekends. Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in the industrial field and not mind working in the outdoor elements or getting dirty. Candidate has to have a high school diploma or GED (and be able to provide a copy as part of the hiring agreement).
SCHEDULE: Rotating 12 hour shifts on weekly basis (days 6a-6p, nights 6p-6a)
PAY: $19 -$22/hour plus shift differential of $2/hour when working night shift. Overtime available.
PPE REQUIRED: Steel Toe Boots, Hard Hat
