WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT
Local Industrial Warehouse in Port Arthur seeking a fulltime warehouse assistant. This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right person.
Job duties will include overseeing daily activities. Checking in totes and cargo, inspecting shipments, and verifying products and conditions. Will be responsible for maintaining the flow of the warehouse including overseeing of staff, ensuring job duties are delegated and fulfilled while working hand in hand with staff to complete tasks. Will be required to operate a forklift for loading and unloading products and staging of products.
Interested candidates must have 2 years of warehousing experience, 1-year forklift experience, and 1-2 years of assistant management experience. Must also have a team player mentality and able to work well with a variety of people while ensuring all activities align with the work goals of the facility daily and weekly.
Interested candidates must also be comfortable working in the heat inside and outside of the warehouse, have reliable transportation, and be dependable. A valid driver’s license is preferred with a minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent.
