SHOP SUPPORT
Industrial company in the Beaumont area currently seeking Shop Support/Shop Hand in the Blasting/Painting department for a turnaround.
Job duties will mainly be sandblasting of valves and other parts through use of blasting cabinet and/or other blasting tools. Job duties will include using tape or masking film to protect specific parts of the valves/parts prior to blasting followed by blasting of valves/parts to remove any surface rust, old paint, dirt, etc. in order to prepare the valves/parts for the paint department. Employee will be required to lift, carry, and set up the part within the cabinet/blasting table in order to perform work duties and will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of shop and work area. Employee will be responsible for any other job duties as requested.
Interested candidates should have previous experience in the same or similar position including blasting and industrial painting. Candidate must have the ability to safely use and maintain variety of tools and equipment associated with sandblasting as well as have ability to read and follow Customer/Client specifications. Must have a strong work ethic, be dependable and reliable, as well as have excellent communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am to 4:30pm. Will be required to work some weekends and overtime as needed, must be flexible with scheduled hours.
Pay: $15-17 per hour.
