Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Type: Temporary | Approx. 2–3 Weeks

Position Summary

A senior living community in Port Arthur is seeking a dependable and hardworking Property Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep of the facility. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be respectful when engaging with seniors, and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Collect household trash and recyclables placed outside of resident units
Patrol the property and pick up loose trash and debris
Deliver notices and other communications directly to resident doors
Replace HVAC filters in individual units
Replace batteries in smoke detectors
Assist with minor maintenance and general property tasks as needed

Requirements

Ability to walk, lift, bend, and carry items throughout the property
Basic understanding of home maintenance tasks (e.g., filters, smoke detectors)
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Friendly and respectful demeanor, especially when interacting with elderly residents
Ability to work independently and follow verbal/written instructions

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in property maintenance, janitorial work, or facilities support
Familiarity with senior living or multifamily housing environments
