An industrial company in the Port Arthur area is seeking a Human Resources/Timekeeper to join their team. This is a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced and dependable candidate looking to grow within the HR field.
Recruit, interview, and assist with hiring new employees
Complete onboarding processes and assist with terminations
Ensure all job descriptions are accurate, compliant, and up to date
Develop and implement training materials
Schedule and track employee training
Provide updates and reports to management from the HR department
Assist with timekeeping and maintaining accurate records
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an office setting
General clerical experience required, including:
MS Office & Excel
Customer service
Typing and data entry
Overall office/administrative support
Training in HR policies and procedures can be provided, but candidates must have strong foundational administrative skills
Strong communication and listening abilities
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage confidential information
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels
Knowledge of benefits (401k, medical insurance, etc.) preferred
