HELPER
Large manufacturing/production facility in the Beaumont area is currently seeking a Helper for their production department.
Job duties will include assisting the operator in all aspects of production, operating the forklift to load and unload pipe from racks, confirming serial numbers from production orders and assisting with inspecting pipes to ensure proper connection is machined on each joint.
Responsibilities also include the ability to operate a grinder and to use proper grinding and buffing procedures to perform repairs and complete the finish for each pipe as specified. In addition will be responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly and clean work environment, while following all company policies and procedures. Will also be required to actively work with the team to improve production performance, product outcomes and overall safety.
Interested candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a shop helper in a similar or the same work environment. Candidate must know how to use hand and power tools including disc grinders, drills, etc. Candidate must be able to work well with minimal supervision, possess basic math skills and be able to adapt to a changing work environment. Previous forklift experience is a plus!
In addition, ideal candidates must have a good attitude, strong work ethics, dependability, be self-motivated and be able to work well as a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid drivers license is preferred.
SCHEDULE: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6a-6p, 6p-6a
Interested candidates must be able and willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts. This will include the required availability for overtime and weekends.
PAY: $19-23/hour plus $2 shift differential when working PM shift
DRESS CODE: Pants, Work shirt – Solid Color- Steel Toed boots, Hard hat and safety glasses.
