Maintenance Mechanic A
A Beaumont production company is hiring Maintenance Mechanic A for a potential temp-to-hire position. This is an excellent career chance for the right candidate!
Job duties include maintaining electronics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding equipment, mobile equipment, forklifts, hoists/cranes/lifts, hand and power tools, and building and grounds. Must learn and follow company policies, guidelines, procedures, and principles.
Candidates need at least 1.5 years of experience in mechanical repair, assembly, or fabricating, plus extensive knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulics, and welding equipment. They should know the proper tools for various jobs and be able to read and follow maintenance instructions. The role requires driving different vehicles/equipment. Candidates must be self-motivated with a good attitude and attendance record. Welding repair skills are a bonus but not mandatory.
The candidate should be able to stand and work in various conditions (some tasks will be outdoors, others indoors within the manufacturing environment) for at least 8 hours. They must be capable of extensive walking, bending, stooping, and moderate to heavy lifting. The candidate should be proficient in using simple measuring instruments (such as tape measures and calipers) and handling multiple levers and knobs in association with relevant machines and equipment.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts may be required to work some weekends and overtime as needed. Must be flexible with schedule.
PAY: $30 an hour DOE
DRESS CODE: Steel toe boots and general work clothes.
