Beaumont area production company seeks Maintenance Mechanic B for a temp-to-hire position with long-term career potential.
Maintenance services will include but are not limited to pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding equipment, mechanical equipment, mobile equipment and vehicles, forklifts, hoists/cranes/lifts, and all hand and power tools, as well as building and grounds upkeep. Job duties will include establishing proficiency in all these areas regarding repairs and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include learning, understanding, and following all company policies, guidelines, procedures, and principles.
Interested candidates must have a minimum of 6 months’ mechanical repair, assembly, and/or fabricating experience as well as extensive knowledge of the proper tools required to complete different jobs. The candidate must be able to read and follow maintenance manuals. They should be capable of driving various vehicles and equipment for job tasks, be self-motivated, and maintain a good attitude and attendance record. Welding repair skills are a plus but not essential.
Candidates must be able to stand and work in both outdoor and indoor environments for at least 8 hours. Must be capable of extensive walking, bending, stooping, and lifting. Needs to use simple measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, caliper) and manually operate levers and knobs on machines or equipment.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. In addition to a valid driver’s license.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts may be required to work some weekends and overtime as needed. Must be flexible with schedule.
PAY: $20 an hour DOE
DRESS CODE: Steel toe boots and general work clothes.
