GENERAL LABORER/YARD HAND – MARINE
Local Marine company seeking a general laborer/yard hand in Port Arthur. Must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts and on-call as needed, including nights and weekends. This is a great potential long-term opportunity for the right person.
Job duties will consist of all yard maintenance including but not limited to moving materials, painting, mowing grass, weed eating, picking up trash, etc. May possibly assist with shop work from time to time as well.
Interested candidates must have at least 1-year of previous experience working in the industrial field. Previous experience in the marine industry a plus!
The candidate must be dependable, hardworking, and not mind physical work. A current TWIC card is required. Proper PPE (steel toe boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and work gloves) required, ISTC is preferred but can be obtained through the client if needed. Drug screen and Disa background check required.
The position will more or less be a training period for the employee to learn the company and yard in order to move into a different position that is more maritime-related once the position has gone permanent.
