WELDER/HELPER

Manufacturing Company in the Beaumont area seeking a Welder/Helper for a possible temporary to permanent position.

This position will be responsible for welding in accordance with the Client’s welding procedures and following the SMAW/FCAW/SAW processes. Will also be responsible for completing paperwork accurately, verbally following instructions, reading and following work orders as well as read and perform fabrication requirements on shop routers with minimal supervision. Must be able to use and understand tape measure as well as be actively involved in improving welding productivity, welding quality, and safety.

Candidate must be able to become certified in GMAW welding processes and weld in accordance to the Client’s welding procedure.

Candidate must be able to prove competency in performing the following fabrication skills:
*Burn holes, fit, and weld lift rings
*Ability to operate Sting Ray welding machine
*Ability to operate beveling machine
*Ability to use hand torch and track torch
*Fit/weld lift eyes and pad eyes

Candidate must have the ability to set up most equipment in department and make minor repairs as required as well as maintain equipment daily. Candidate must be able to stand and work in adverse conditions as well as do extensive walking, bending, and moderate to heavy lifting.

SCHEDULE: Rotating shift of 10-12 hours per day. shift differential  when working PM shift. Overtime required. Interested candidate must be flexible to work rotating shift (this is a rotating shift schedule, DAYS/NIGHTS/WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS) as well as to work overtime as scheduled.

PAY: $19.50-21/hour DOE

EDUCATION: Must have high school diploma or GED, prefer a welding certificate or equivalent welding experience.
