Local Home Construction company in Beaumont seeking a Purchasing and Logistical Coordinator. This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right person!
Job duties will include initiation of the shipping process based on pick lists, must pick orders, stage products and prep for shipping while maintaining the stated terms per contract regarding the purchase order and shipping terms. Must coordinate and communicate with Customer Account reps, vendors and customers regarding order changes, product availability, shipping, and delays. Prepare and issue Commercial invoices, packing lists and Certificates of Origin for equipment and materials both domestic and international.
Will be responsible for ensuring that required checks and balances are carried out in compliance of company policies and procedures. Follow specific Logistics Mapping to ensure shipping accuracy and billing. Work with company specific vendors and entities to improve freight shipping performance and timely processing/delivery. Record keeping and document control of all hard copies and electronic documents supporting shipping orders, adjustments, and contracts. Provide reasonable and timely updates to the Warehouse Manager, Shipping Liaisons and the Lead of any logistical delays or issues.
Interested candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Must have great communication skills both verbal and written, attention to detail and be highly organized with strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills. Must have the ability to multitask and maintain multiple deadlines among various customers and vendors. Experience with MMS office is required, willing to train on industry specific software. A minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent is mandatory.
