Local Flooring Center in the Port Arthur area, seeking an Associate to assist in the store and in the warehouse. This is a potential temp to hire opportunity for the right person. Company is looking for someone full-time that can work Monday through Friday as well as rotating weekends as needed. Must be flexible with schedule and able to rotate with others in the department to open and close. Schedule will range from 7am to 6pm (closing- may not be out until 6:30 or so).
Job duties will include customer service, assisting on the sales floor, general cashier duties, housekeeping, general clerical duties and stocking of merchandise. Warehouse duties will include operating forklift, loading and unloading, assisting customers with identifying the products needed for their specific project and ensuring the warehouse is clean and safe.
Must have previous forklift experience and at least 2 years’ experience in a position the same or similar. Retail/Sales experience preferred, and the ability to work as a TEAM required.
Previous forklift certification is a plus but not required, but a minimum of 2 years’ operating experience is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent to be considered.
