KENNEL TECHNICIAN
Local Pet Salon and Pet Daycare center in Mid County seeking a Kennel Technician. Position will start off as part time, may become a full time opportunity for the right person. This person must love dogs and be able to work with and handle dogs of various breeds and sizes.
Job duties will include care and handling of various sizes and breeds of dogs, checking them in for appointments and transferring them to the salon as well as escorting to the daycare area of the facility and lots of customer service. Will be responsible for supervising animals during activities, feeding them, watering them and cleaning their area as well as their kennels. Will also be responsible for exercising (walking/playing, etc.,) animals, as well as loving and comforting them as needed. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, be very detailed and efficient with cleaning duties. This is a position that requires a love for dogs and a team player. Previous experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person.
The ideal candidate for this position MUST be comfortable working around animals, mainly dogs, of all breeds and sizes. The ideal candidate must have some flexibility with scheduling and have the ability to start work as early as 6:30 am and work as late as 7:00 pm, the schedule will include weekdays and weekends as well as holidays.
