GENERAL LABORERS
Laborers needed for a project position located at a new school build in Port Neches.
Job duties for this position will include unloading furniture from trucks, moving furniture to proper location within school, and assembly of furniture.
Interested candidates must be able to work on their feet consistently and lift up to 40lbs; have extreme proficiency when operating a battery powered drill; must be able to change the battery; differentiate between the types of screws being used; change and replace drill bits independently; and maintain accurate speed and pressure when using the drill to ensure proper assembly and to not strip screws during assembly (there are no extra screws or parts available so precise work is required.)
All interested candidates must be able to provide their full attention to the job as required to ensure safety and proficiency while working during the scheduled hours. Must be reliable and on-time daily. Most importantly all candidates must be aware that there is a no cell phone usage policy in place while working. Using cell phones or other distractions on site could result in immediate termination. ****Cellphones can be used during break times and before/after work but not during work hours.****
Assignment dates are from 07/21 to 08/05 and all interested candidates must be available each work day as scheduled during the duration of the assignment.
Schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm generally. However the assignment starts 07/21 and they will work through the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and then continue Monday with the general schedule 8am to 5pm.
Pay is $17 an hour.
PPE required includes hard hat, safety vest, steel toed work boots and general work clothes.
Must have reliable transportation, clean background and pass a drug screen.
