Growing service company in the Mid County area currently seeking a Business Development Specialist to join their team! This is a great, long-term position for the right person! This is an entry level role focused on driving growth through outbound prospecting and lead generating.
As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for increasing awareness of business, growing Client base, and sharing the company’s story. In this role, you will need to understand the advantages of the company and gain ability to effectively educate Customers of the company’s benefit; identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, in person, and/or by participating in marketing/networking events; manage and grow existing Customer accounts through regular communications and account management; develop marketing and sales strategies; follow up on calls/visits/emails; provide management with updates and reports weekly.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year sales or similar experience with result driven results. The candidate must have excellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and online), have good negotiation skills, be creative, have problem solving skills, be adaptable and flexible, and have a strong drive to succeed. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting in order to collaborate with internal staff to align efforts effectively. Candidate should have valid driver’s license as well as be dependable and punctual.
HOURS: Monday-Friday 9a-2p. This schedule is flexible and may require additional hours in order to cover events, networking, etc.
