Local maritime company in the Port Arthur area seeking a Dispatcher for the night shift.
This is a possible temp to hire, long term position for the right person!
Job duties include but are not limited to facilitating the communication of information between the office and the vessel personnel; preparation and communication of daily reports to the Customers and management team along with any pertinent information related to vessel activities and/or specific requirements of Customers; assist in supporting the operations group upon vessel request; communicate operations requirements and/or general concerns to vessel operations as required; assist with the coordination of incidents and/or problem resolution as needed; any other duties as needed.
Interested candidates must have a minimum of two (2) year prior experience in an office setting, preferably in the same or similar type position. Strong, excellent customer service an communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must. Candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and have ability to work well with little or no supervision. Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment needed as well. Candidate must have high school diploma or equivalent.
The hours for this position are 7:00 pm until 7:00 am, 4 days on then 4 days off. Candidate must be able to work this schedule which includes working weekends and holidays as needed.
