OFFICE ASSISTANT

A local cemetery service company in the Mid County area is currently seeking a part time office assistant to start immediately.  This is a possible temp to hire position for the right person.

Job duties will include but are not limited to greeting and assisting visitors coming into the office, pulling files, locating information within the files, filing, light data entry, answering incoming calls, and some light sales. Must be comfortable sitting with and speaking with families while in office regarding services, preparations and scheduling. Must have the ability to empathize with families while assisting them with their needs.

Interested candidate must have a minimum of 1 year previous experience working in an office setting and be able to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) as well as be able to work well with the public.  Candidate must be detail oriented, be proficient with filing, have ability to multitask, and work well unsupervised.

This position will start out on a part time basis with 15 to 30 hours available weekly.  The Client would like someone who is flexible to work more hours when needed as well as possibly work a full week in the future as this position has the opportunity to turn into a full time, long term position.
