FLEET MECHANIC
Industrial Rental Company seeking a Fleet Mechanic for their Sulphur, LA shop. This is a possible long term, temp to hire position for the right person! Will be required to work at multiple locations in LA.
**LA drivers license preferred**
Job duties will include but are not limited to all maintenance and repair on various rental equipment including Forklifts (gas and propane), Shooting-boom lifts, skid steers, pickup trucks and flatbeds, excavators, and tractors, flatbed and van trailers. Troubleshooting engines, wiring, hydraulics, and AC. Will also be responsible for recordkeeping and documentation of maintenance and repair work performed; assist with other areas of the shop as needed.
Interested candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in the same or similar field. Candidate must have strong advanced working knowledge of tools and strong background working with various engines. Maintain preventative maintenance schedules. Must be able to operate all equipment as well as become (or be) forklift certified. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Candidate must have high school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license; and ability to work overtime when needed.
Qualified candidates should have experience with Diesel, gas, and propane engines as well as hydraulics and welding.
