Pay Rate:

$11.75 – $18.18 per hour, based on experience

A reputable service company in Bridge City is seeking a Head Custodian to join their team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering steady hours, growth opportunity, and a chance to lead a dedicated custodial team.

Position Summary:

The Head Custodian is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility. This includes overseeing routine cleaning operations, supervising custodial staff, performing hands-on cleaning tasks, and supporting minor maintenance and groundskeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Assign and oversee daily duties of custodial/janitorial staff
Clean and maintain offices, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and common areas
Perform floor care: vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, waxing, and buffing
Dusting, window washing, and trash removal
Setup and arrange tables/chairs for daily use and events
Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocks
Perform minor maintenance: change light bulbs, filters, report facility damages
Secure the facility by locking doors and checking entry points
Basic groundskeeping: picking up trash, weed eating, etc.
Other duties as assigned by onsite supervisor

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a custodial leadership role
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and lead a team

Schedule:

🕕 Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Dress Code:

Jeans or work pants
Solid-colored shirts (polo/plain t-shirt)
Closed-toe shoes
Spirit shirts allowed on Tuesdays and Fridays
