Location: Bridge City
Pay: $17.50 – $25.67 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time   7am – 3:30pm
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Summary

A district is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on building structures and systems, as well as assist with grounds maintenance across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on buildings and systems

  • Assist with electrical, plumbing, painting, and basic construction tasks

  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment; report needed repairs

  • Complete work orders as directed

  • Assist with groundskeeping and facility upkeep

  • Move, assemble, and repair furniture and equipment as needed

Requirements

  • Valid Texas driver’s license

  • Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience

  • Knowledge of basic construction and repair procedures

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to work independently and use hand and power tools

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift 45+ lbs regularly

  • Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Frequent walking, climbing, bending, and driving
