PHARMACY CLERK

Local Pharmacy in Mid County is looking for a Pharmacy Clerk. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Job duties include answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, greeting customers/patients, restocking products, maintaining store cleanliness, using compounding software, operating a POS system, making reminder calls about prescriptions, handling transactions, processing insurance claims, verifying coverage, and providing customer service.

Additional duties include calling patients to gather medical history and reviewing symptoms, following up and performing routine check-ins during medication use, and contacting doctors’ offices to confirm and reissue orders. Responsibilities also involve graphing lab results, data entry, charting, answering phones, taking messages, returning calls, and providing customer updates.

Candidates should have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and be self-motivated. Essential skills include strong communication, teamwork, basic computer/POS proficiency, and accurate payment handling. Healthcare knowledge is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is important. Applicants must be organized, detail-oriented, and manage time well. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office/Google Office, and adaptability to industry-specific software are required.

Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in a pharmacy, clinical, or medical office as a Certified Pharmacy Tech, Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Medical Technician/Assistant with current credentials and 1-2 years of experience. Experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or similar role is beneficial.

SCHEDULE:  Monday through Friday 9am – 5:00pm.

PAY: DOE
