CABLING TECHNICIAN
Now Hiring: Cabling Technician
📍 Location: Locally Owned IT Firm | Southeast Texas
⏰ Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Must be flexible for early mornings, late evenings, and OT as needed)
💵 Pay Rate: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour DOE
📄 Type: Temporary with potential to go permanent
Position Summary
A locally owned IT firm is seeking an experienced Cabling Technician for upcoming projects. This is a hands-on technical position with opportunities for growth and long-term placement.
Responsibilities include:

Pulling, terminating, and testing data cables
-
Installation of low voltage/data/structured cabling (MUST be experienced)

Assisting with camera, access point, and access control system installation (depending on experience)

Testing and troubleshooting cabling issues
-
Supporting additional project tasks as directed
Requirements:
-
Prior experience in low voltage/data/structured cabling is REQUIRED
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Strong communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail

Ability to follow directions and work efficiently to meet deadlines
Additional Information:

Testing: Will be required to complete Ladder Safety training at ISTC (does not require ISTC Basic to attend; training scheduled online)

Dress Code: Standard work attire appropriate for cabling/installation environments

Work Environment: Must be flexible to work in different settings and conditions
