FABRICATION MANAGER
Industrial Service and Fabrication company seeking a Fabrication Manager for their busy shop in Sulphur, LA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity for the right person.
The Fabrication Manager is responsible for handling all activities related to production, QC, and delivery while responsibly controlling production costs. The Fabrication Manger works directly with the Operations Manager to ensure overall production goals and costs are maintained, monitors employee training and mentoring, as well as the day-to-day operations and production equipment maintenance. Will also be responsible for providing support and fill-in for the Operations Manager if the need arises.
The Fabrication Manager is responsible for all QC, QA and Inspections of production equipment, and the production practices daily. Handling Client and Customer relations and service, maintaining deadlines and following through with timelines as directed by Production Requests. Enforcing and implementing safety procedures, standards and following all government policy requirements regarding production, housekeeping, and safety practices. Troubleshooting, problem solving and communication with team members to rectify any discrepancies or issues.
Will be responsible for operating powered and material handling equipment, loading, and unloading pipe, and operating powered and/or manual banding equipment as needed to ready pipe bundles for shipment and additional duties are requested.
Interested candidates must be experience with equipment operations and production manufacturing with a minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory Role and a minimum of 5 years in manufacturing/production. A 4-year degree is preferred but flexible to consider a 2-year degree with equivalent work experience. Must have excellent communication and expression skills, great team building skills and strong leadership qualities. General computer uses and proficiency is required. Valid State Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
