Local company in the Port Arthur area seeking a Bookkeeper. This is a part time opportunity to start but has potential to be a great long-term position! This position is ideal for someone just looking to get in a few extra work hours weekly on top of a fulltime or part time position. Must be flexible to work evenings and possibly some weekend hours.
Job duties will include but are not limited to accounts payable and receivable, inputting payroll, job costing, monthly sales tax, and journal entries. Job duties will also consist of managing various banking accounts, maintaining up to date records, general ledger and reconciling all accounts.
The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter who can work well in a fast-paced environment. Word, Excel and QuickBooks knowledge is required. Must be able to multitask, be a fast learner, and dependable. A minimum of 3 years experience is required in the same role, a four year degree in accounting is preferred but experience may be considered as equivalent.
