Location: Beaumont / Port Arthur Area (Multiple Job Sites)
Pay: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour (DOE) (adjustable if needed)
Schedule: Hours TBD
Type: Project-Based | Minimum 30 Days | Possible Temp-to-Hire
Travel: Required (out-of-state travel for weeks at a time; all travel arrangements provided)

Position Summary

An Alarm and Security Installation company is seeking an experienced Lead Technician for projects in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area. This role is responsible for leading installation crews, overseeing daily work activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This is a strong opportunity for long-term placement with the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise installation crews on job sites

  • Coordinate daily tasks and assign work to technicians and apprentices

  • Perform and oversee cable pulling, wiring, and equipment installation

  • Lead Access Control and CCTV system installations

  • Ensure work meets quality standards, drawings, and specifications

  • Troubleshoot installation issues and provide technical guidance

  • Enforce safety procedures and proper PPE use

  • Communicate progress, issues, and material needs to management

  • Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians

  • Work overtime and travel as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Access Control and CCTV installations required

  • Prior leadership or lead technician experience strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and enforce instructions

  • Ability to manage crews and maintain productivity

  • Reliable with strong attendance and professionalism

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, assisted and unassisted

  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolds, etc.)

  • Basic alarm or electrical knowledge required

  • Valid driver’s license preferred

  • Veteran candidates encouraged to apply

Additional Information

  • TWIC card preferred (client will assist with covering some credential costs such as TWIC or ISTC)

  • Overnight travel required when working out of town

    • Hotel accommodations and transportation provided by the client

  • Additional PPE provided by the client
