Location: Port Arthur, TX
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

An industrial fabrication shop in the Port Arthur area is seeking a dependable General Laborer to assist with daily shop operations. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

This role involves assisting with measuring and cutting materials, maintaining shop cleanliness, and supporting fabrication processes in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Primary Duties

Assist with measuring and cutting materials
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
Operate measuring tape with accuracy up to 1/32 inch
Assist with general shop tasks as assigned
Support fabrication team as needed

Requirements

1–2 years experience in an industrial shop environment preferred
Strong math skills and attention to detail
Ability to accurately read a measuring tape
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Reliable transportation required
Valid Driver’s License preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Schedule

General hours are Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM – 4:00 PM
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, extended hours, and occasional weekends if required.

Dress Code

Work clothes required:

Work pants with belt
Solid colored T-shirt
Steel-toe boots required
Long-sleeved shirts recommended due to nature of shop work
