Location: Port Arthur, TX
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Some weekends required | Hours TBD
Type:Direct Hire | Full-Time

Position Summary

An industrial company in Port Arthur is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for their shop. This position requires a skilled and dependable candidate with strong experience in diesel engines and fleet maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles including buses, trucks, and cars (primarily diesel)

  • Troubleshoot engines, wiring, hydraulics, and AC systems

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance and repairs

  • Assist in other areas of the shop as needed

  • Operate all necessary equipment and obtain (or already possess) forklift certification

  • Lift up to 50 lbs as required

Requirements

  • 3–5 years mechanic experience (diesel preferred) or 10+ years diesel mechanic experience in lieu of certification

  • Diesel Mechanic Certification preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of tools and various engine types

  • Experience with diesel, gas, and propane engines, hydraulics, and welding

  • Ability to maintain preventative maintenance schedules

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to work overtime as needed
