ADMIN ASSISTANT

Local Company in Bridge City seeking an Administrative Assistant for a Part Time position. This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right person!

Job duties will include performing daily administrative tasks to maintain community operations. Handle visitor inquiries in person, by phone, email, or mail; refer to members as necessary. Provide information about local businesses, restaurants, and hotels to the public seeking services. Monitor and manage communications, including mail, voicemail, email, website, and social media for the facility. Maintain updated membership records. Organize office filing systems, including paper, electronic files, photos, event binders, and other materials as required.

In addition duties also include coordinating events and meeting announcements through the website, social media platforms, press releases, and networking events. Providing support to the Director and members in the areas of communication, meetings, problem-solving, and project planning. Monitoring and managing the inventory of printed materials for distribution. Updating the website calendar, membership listings, press releases, event information, award recipients, and general community information for the facility. Supporting community initiatives and events. Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the facility, offices and Storage Building. Solicit members for gift certificates/cards for monthly awards, for community involvement and outreach. Providing support in drafting and distributing press releases for award recipients, events, and other necessary occasions, and any additional duties as assigned.

Candidates should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, exhibit high motivation and enthusiasm, and demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving the facility’s objectives. Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office, Canva, QuickBooks, etc.), along with meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational capabilities, is essential. Applicants must be effective team players, capable of collaborating with diverse individuals and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Prior experience in event management, project planning, and fundraising is preferred, with a minimum of two years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant in a comparable setting.

SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday from 8am to 3pm for training, general schedule will be 10am to 5pm with a 1-hour lunch Monday through Thursday, some Fridays may be required. You must be flexible to work some evenings and weekends as needed for events and community involvement activities.

PAY: $14-16 per hour DOE.
